Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Review

Hey there, fellow travelers! From May 19th thru the 21st, 2025, I had the pleasure of staying at the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, a resort that blends upscale relaxation with proximity to Disney magic. Whether you’re rolling solo, bringing the whole family, or tagging along with a conference badge (as I was doing), this place has something for everyone. My wife tagged along with me on this trip. Here’s a quick recap of our trip!

Getting There

As Charlotte, North Carolina is now our home base, we flew with American Airlines which had a direct route from Charlotte to Orlando (MCO). One of the benefits of having CLT as our home airport; direct flights to nearly anywhere major.

Once we had landed in Orlando, it was a little bit difficult to get a Lyft or Uber, but after a couple of attempts we were on our way!

Checking In

Check-in was smooth and efficient. The front desk staff were friendly and made sure we were aware of all the resort’s amenities. We were up to our room in no time (and ahead of the scheduled check-in by around 40 minutes), which was much appreciated after a travel day.

The Room

Spacious, clean, and tastefully modern. Our room on the 15th floor (1547) had everything we needed: comfy bed, great workspace, and a view that reminded us we were still in sunny Florida (it had a view of the awesome pool and Disney Hollywood Studios). Bonus points for plentiful charging ports and fast Wi-Fi—always appreciated by remote-working types like me. We also liked that the shower included a handheld hose—something surprisingly rare in many hotels.

One small thing to note: the water had a distinct scent to it, noticeable while showering, brushing our teeth, and even when drinking water provided at the convention center. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of.

The Pool and Lazy River

This was a highlight. While I was busy conferencing away, my wife spent a lot of time lounging by the pool and floating down the lazy river. She found it very pleasant and, unlike many resorts, the water didn’t have that overwhelming chlorine smell. She was even joined by two ducks for a couple of hours on the first day which was amusing. Hilton offers complimentary inner tubes and you can even rent a private cabana if you’re feeling extra fancy.

Dining Options

Plenty of variety here. I particularly recommend Zeta Asia, where I enjoyed a California roll and a Bonsai roll—both delicious—one night. My wife and I, upon arrival, had lunch at Aquamarine, located poolside at the adjacent Waldorf Astoria Orlando. I went with the Florida grouper sandwich, and my wife had the grilled chicken sandwich—we both agreed the food was very good. We don’t drink alcohol, so we didn’t explore the bar options, but there seemed to be no shortage of choices for those who do.

Things to Do

Beyond the pool, there’s a family arcade, access to the Waldorf Astoria spa, and complimentary shuttles to Disney parks. My wife took advantage of the shuttle to travel to Disney Springs which had a bunch of shopping and dining options. I spent the two full days at the hotel’s convention center for work-related events. The space was clean, well-equipped, and conveniently accessible from the main hotel. Families and Disney-goers will find plenty to keep them entertained.

Overall Thoughts on Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

The Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is a solid choice for travelers looking for luxury with a laid-back vibe. It’s close to the magic of Disney but far enough to escape the chaos when you’re ready to recharge. The hotel was very clean and we had no major issues during our stay. We’d happily return—and next time, maybe we’ll try that spa.

Until the next journey!
